Capital Risk Actuary - Director

Arthur is thrilled to be partnering with a global speciality insurer who is actively searching for an Actuarial Director to join their expanding risk division.

This presents an exciting opportunity to assume a pivotal role in the growth and expansion of a robust actuarial analysis process within a rapidly expanding company operating across diverse business markets.

You will be responsible for establishing and overseeing the risk and profitability analysis and play a crucial role in the development of a comprehensive capital modelling framework and process for all alternative risk business and delegated authority business written. Collaborating with cross-functional leaders within the firm and the insurance partners is a key aspect of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting actuarial analyses to assess the profitability of written business and effectively communicate the results.
• Identifying and implementing early warning indicators and analytical practices for risk identification.
• Developing mechanisms to keep management informed about capital requirement considerations.

Your Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Qualified Actuary, Life-ACAS, FCAS.
• Strong expertise in the insurance industry with a blend of capital modelling and reserving experience
• Proficiency in modelling and visualisation tools, including SQL, Power BI, and Alteryx.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
