A brand new Property Claims Consultant role within my clients Global Real Estate & Construction Division for an experienced Claims professional to join their team. The team, based primarily in London, deliver innovative insurance placements and risk management services for organisations involved in the real estate and construction sectors. This dedicated division, comprising of more than 200 Associates, is the largest and most established combined Real Estate and Construction team in the London Market. Responsibilities:
Managing large and complex claims for clients, demonstrating the value of the companies Claims Consultancy proposition
Managing client expectations throughout the claims process
Supporting clients immediately post loss occurrence
Collating information from clients/stakeholders, calculating their losses and presenting them to loss adjusters
Securing agreement from clients to earn fees for the preparation of their claims
Supporting the companies claims community with advice regarding technical issues
Attending/leading claims meetings with clients, loss adjusters and insurers
Thoroughly understanding policy wording and coverage afforded to clients
Using personal skills/knowledge to develop other members of the claims team
Find and develop alternative revenue streams for claims-relates activities
Requirements:
A thorough understanding of commercial property claims
Ideally a good understanding of London Market Real Estate
Willingness and ability to continue to develop knowledge through formal and informal learning, both internal and external to the company
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing with clients, loss adjusters, insurers and other associates
Willingness to travel (within UK and through Europe) where required
Knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook) or similar software applications
