A leading Insurance Broker client of mine are seeing a an experienced Counsel (3-5 years PQE) to join their Litigation & Disputes Team. This is a maternity leave cover position for an initial 14 month period, with the potential of a permanent position at the end of the contract.
The role will consist of providing E&O Claims advice and defence as well as a varied portfolio of commercial and insurance disputes support. You will also be responsible for representing my client in court if necessary, in relation to any litigation necessary. You will operate as part of my clients Insurance & Reinsurance business, working alongside a real collegiate and supportive legal function, reporting to a Senior Counsel with a wealth of experience.
My client is looking for a qualified lawyer or barrister in England & Wales, ideally 3-5 years PQE although this is a guide. Experience with professional indemnity disputes along with knowledge of insurance related work is essential.
My client is looking for someone based in their Manchester office, ideally 2-3 days per week. There may be occasional travel to London as part of this role.
