A well known London Market Insurer are increasing their efforts across technology and are seeking an Engineering Manager to join their growing team. This individual will be an integral part of the team, and will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the engineering process while designing, developing, and deploying solutions that transform business needs into software solutions.
Responsibilities of the Engineering Manager:
Lead, manage, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers in all aspects of the engineering process.
Manage all aspects of the software development process including requirements gathering, architecture and design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
Identify and implement best practices and standards for software development.
Identify and manage dependencies between teams and other processes.
Lead the development of software products from concept to delivery to production.
Manage and track software projects, ensuring timely delivery and high quality.
Establish and execute project plans, and regularly communicate insights and progress updates to stakeholders.
Maintain a high degree of situational awareness by monitoring customer feedback, team progress, and feature development.
Essential experience of the Engineering Manager:
Experience managing software engineering teams of team sizes 15+
Well versed with cloud technologies, Azure, AWS OR GCP
Knowledge of a range of software architecture styles
Experienced in driving modern processes and methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, TDD, BDD, CI/CD, IaC and more
Software Engineering background
Rate: £900 - £1100 P/D Inside IR35 Location: Central London Contract Duration: 12 Months Start Date: ASAP, considering 1 month notice periods
