Are you an experienced Solution Architect with a passion for finance transformation projects? Do you possess exceptional communication skills and the ability to navigate complex architectural decisions? If so, we want you to play a pivotal role in a Finance Platform Transformation project at our prestigious London-based reinsurance organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders in Finance, IT, and Change functions to align business needs with key design decisions.
Develop architectural blueprints and transition states for the finance transformation project.
Design data and systems migration architecture in line with project goals and objectives.
Translate architectural and program design decisions into technical requirements for engineering and migration teams.
Provide architectural guidance to third-party vendors involved and effectively communicate potential risks.
Oversee the development team's progress to ensure alignment with the initial design.
Offer technical guidance and coaching to developers and engineers.
Required Skills & Experience:
Proven experience (10+ years) as a Solution Architect or in a similar role within finance transformation projects.
Strong knowledge of accounting, GL posting, financial reconciliation, expense filing & reimbursements, and financial planning & procurement processes.
Experience in:
Integration architecture for SaaS platforms
On-Prem to Cloud migrations, data, and application modernisation
Infrastructure architecture
Data Warehousing and Reporting
Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Certifications such as TOGAF, Azure Certified Solutions Architect, etc. are beneficial but not essential.
Beneficial Experience (but not essential):
Previous experience within the (re)insurance broking sector.
Experience working in a Lloyds London Market or other regulatory environment.
Familiarity with SunSystems, IBM PA TM1 / Cognos, ICE, Proactis.
