Financial Accountant (12 months FTC)

Arthur Financial have partnered with a leading Insurer to support with their search for a Qualified Financial Accountant for an initial 12 months FTC based in London. 

Role Overview
The right candidate will have a strong financial reporting and planning background, and excellent analytical skills. You will join an established Finance team, and will partner with subsidiary finance teams (both UK and overseas), central departments and shared service centres. 

Main Responsibilities 

• Provide support to the Group Finance team for month end close processes
• Prepare month end journal postings and ensure they are made correctly
• Manage reconciliations 
• Prepare project budgets and report performance against budget 
• Streamline month end close procedures
• Liaise with share service centre and all subsidiary finance teams internationally
• Ad-hoc projects as required 

Skills & Experience 

• Qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) 
• Advanced MS Excel
• Unit 4 Coda or a similar general ledger systems experience 
• OneStream XF reporting systems experience 
• Insurance market experience (Desirable) 

The business operate a hybrid working model (3 days in the office / 2 days WFH).
