Arthur is partnered with a Leading Specialty Insurer to hire a Head of Underwriting Operations on a 12-month fixed term contract.
Purpose of the role:
To work as part of the senior management team and be accountable for all aspects of end-to-end underwriting operational management and service delivery.
Develop and implement operational plans and controls, including SLAs and KPIs that ensure delivery of service and quality standards across all areas and sites.
Manage and provide strategic leadership to Underwriting Operations being directly responsible for the Quality Assurance, Underwriting Controls, Delegated Underwriting Authority and Bordereaux Management teams.
Key skills/competencies:
Experience working on market initiatives including Blueprint 2.
Ability to provide clear and credible vision.
Experience in developing, mentoring and motivating staff.
Previous experience in oversight of Delegated Authority, Quality Assurance and Underwriting Controls.
Successfully implement company strategy, meeting targets and deadlines.
