Pricing Actuary

Your Role:

Join as a Pricing Actuary, where you will collaborate with our underwriters, engage with brokers, and directly interact with clients from leading sharing economy firms worldwide. You play a pivotal role in understanding clients' needs and crafting future-proof insurance solutions. In this data-driven environment, you will contribute to strategic decision-making, influencing the overall direction the business and engaging in broader topics than traditional roles.

Responsibilities:

Actuarial:

• Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders (underwriters, brokers, clients).
• Assist in structuring and pricing complex deals for usage-based insurance contracts.
• Conduct in-depth profitability reviews and analyse business (sub)segments.
• Develop and maintain pricing models.
• Contribute to accurate and timely management reporting for internal and regulatory purposes.

Management:

• Manage other members of the pricing team where appropriate.
• Support the training of junior team members and provide peer reviews.

Requirements:

• Pricing experience within the London Market is preferred.
• Experience in Motor or US Casualty Liability is desirable.
• Proficiency in Excel, VBA, preferably with experience in Python (or R).
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
• IFoA qualification nearing completion or recently qualified.
