Reinsurance Accounting Manager

My client is a renowned global leader in reinsurance solutions, committed to minimising risk and bolstering stability for insurers across the globe. The Reinsurance Finance team is integral to ensuring precise financial record-keeping and reporting for their reinsurance activities and due to growth they are hiring a Reinsurance Accounting Manager to be a number 2 to the VP Reinsurance Controller and work closely with the CFO. 

You will be part of a forward thinking and disruptive business that has built a high-calibre team based out of their Bermuda office who due to success across the company are growing in size. 

Responsibilities include; 

• End-to-end responsiblity for the preparing and reviewing technical financial reporting and financial statements inline with US GAAP
• Provide analysis and accounting on group management reporting
• Business partner with actuaries to ensure booked reserves are recorded acurately
• Work closely with local finance teams in ceding entities to provide financial analysis
• Partner key internal and external stakeholders such as; Auditors
• Involvement in internal control documentation to a SOX level
• Involved in the implementation and integration of the group financial systems for the entity
• Callobrate with the team to provide guidance and support to juniors on day-to-day basis 
• Provide adhoc support to the VP Controller and CFO

You must be; 

• Fully qualifed Accountant (CA, CPA or ACCA) with PQE in a Reinsurance Accounting role 
• Excellent technical reinsurance accounting and internal reinsurance arrangement experience 
• Demonstrable experience leading periodic close and preparing statutory disclosures 
• Experience of reporting writing in a SOX Control environment 
• Possess strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills 
• Thrive in a highly-autonomous environment and able to adapt quickly

Salary on offer is $150k - $200k + bonus and comprehensive benefits (varies depending on your location).
