Arthur are proud to be partnered with a leading global specialty (re)insurer as they look to add a Reinsurance Asset Manager to the team.
About the Role The role will focus on taking ownership and day to day management of the Quota Share pillar for the Syndicate and associated entities in respect of Outwards Reinsurance post-bind activities.
This is a heavily integrated and collaborative role requiring you to foster effective relationships with OTRI Purchasing, Claims, Finance and other operations functions to ensure a seamless and co-ordinated approach throughout.
You will play an instrumental role in ensuring that the team is supported and able to effectively carry out day-to-day responsibilities including treaty set up, premium payment, statement of account creation, claim recoveries, cash allocation, credit control, reporting, broker communications and reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop the Quota Share team.
Lead on and manage complex accounts including statement of account calculations, review and reconciliation in conjunction with brokers and other counterparties.
Effectively support and manage team of technicians to ensure timely and accurate production of quota share statements of account.
Work with the Head of RAM to complete and pass all internal controls within SLAs.
share knowledge and give status updates to the wider team in meetings.
Review and sign off all Profit Commission and Sliding Scale Commission calculations.
Develop the internal reporting outputs to provide a clear picture of the current position for the full program of quota share programs in place across Syndicate and Company markets.
Support the Head of RAM to enhance our procedure notes, filing structure and workflow processes within the pillar.
Support the continued development of the Outwards RI processes and procedures.
Liaise with key stakeholders such as the OTRI Placement team, Underwriting & Claims departments, brokers, and other Internal/external clients to resolve queries.
Assist with internal and external audits.
Skills and Experience
Good experience of leading and managing junior team members.
Expert knowledge and understanding of OTRI principles and concepts specifically pertaining to QS contracts.
Ability and confidence to challenge existing procedures & use of systems.
