Reinsurance Risk Actuary - Director

Arthur is delighted to be partnering with a global speciality insurer who is actively searching for an Actuarial Director to join their expanding risk division.

This presents an exciting opportunity to assume a key role in the reserving process for a risk-bearing entity of the firm, with adherence to the Bermuda Monetary Authority's risk-based framework and offers the chance to contribute to establishing and expanding a robust risk analysis process for business written by the firm.

You will develop a comprehensive understanding of the firms reserving policy and collaborate with cross-functional leaders across the group.

Key Responsibilities:

• Owning and managing the best estimate reserve analysis for the program business.
• Leading the analysis of reserve volatility for all types of business.
• Facilitating and actively participating in the development of a solid reserve analysis framework.

Your Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Qualified Actuary, ACAS
• Strong expertise in the insurance industry specifically actuarial reserving experience
• Proficiency in modelling and visualisation tools, including SQL, Power BI, and Alteryx.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
