An excellent opportunity has arisen for a reserving actuary at a growing Lloyd's syndicate.
Working closely with the Head of Actuarial and supported by an analyst, you will work across quarterly reserving for all lines of business and report the results of actuarial valuations and analyses to the relevant stakeholders and committees. There will be assistance with the quarterly technical provisions and become a trusted advisor for reserving within the organisation.
The head of actuarial is also responsible for capital modelling and there will be exposure to this work also, particularly around busy periods.
This is not a 'back-office' reserving role, and you will be encouraged to provide insight and support to a number of teams to help with decision making, such as underwriting, finance and reinsurance.
There will be the opportunity to manage an analyst to help them develop their career in the Lloyd's/London market.
Ideally you will be a qualified actuary (or nearly qualified) looking to take on more responsibility in a close-knit actuarial team. You will have prior reserving experience within the non-life market and perhaps seeking that next step from a senior analyst role. Lloyd's market experience is advantageous but is not essential.
