Arthur is delighted to be partnering with a dynamic Risk Management team, within a well respected Lloyds Syndicate that is looking for a Risk Analyst to join thier growing team.

This role has become available as a result of the company's continued expansion and will give the opportunity to closely collaborate with the Chief Risk Officer (CRO), thus benefiting from comprehensive training and growth opportunities aimed at enhancing their skill set and expertise.

Key responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with the CRO and Risk Manager to create and assess Risk Metrics & Risk Reporting destined for presentation to the Risk Committee.
  • Supporting in risk assessments and reporting of the Internal Control Framework.
  • Participating in the formulation and enhancement of the Internal Model validation process, encompassing test execution, review, and coordination of second and third line (external) validation assessments alongside the Capital Modelling team. 
  • Assisting in the establishment of various internal model procedures, including the maintenance of model use records, re-run triggers, feedback mechanisms, and expert judgment logs.
  • Contributing to the quantification of Reverse Stress Tests and Stress & Scenario Testing, pivotal for validation and the Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) process. This involvement extends to the development of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) risk evaluations.
  • Undertaking essential training and development activities to ensure effective role fulfilment.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • A background in the insurance industry, with up to two years of experience in Risk Management.
  • A foundational grasp of mathematical and stochastic processes to contribute to the validation of capital models.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • An eagerness to acquire knowledge and exposure across the spectrum of risk management.
