A leading insurer is seeking a Personal Lines Senior or Lead Pricing Analyst, to join their pricing team. The successful candidate will work alongside the Underwriting, Pricing, Actuarial, data science, and IT Development teams to produce and analyse pricing data and provide recommendations to optimize profitable growth and implement pricing structures.
Responsibilities:
Conduct pricing reviews and make pricing changes/recommendations
Produce, monitor, and report on new and current management information
Identify opportunities to improve existing methodologies and deploy new analytical techniques
Support Underwriting teams in reviewing new or altered product covers and recommending appropriate pricing changes
Work with IT developers, Test teams, and project managers to support delivery and implementation of pricing structures and rates
Create complex, robust statistical models and interpret results to deliver high impact, innovative pricing
Requirements: Successful candidates should have a solid understanding of the personal lines market, pricing, and underwriting fundamentals, along with a working knowledge of Excel and SAS.
A 2.1 or above in a Mathematical/Statistical/Science/Engineering degree for senior roles
Extensive knowledge of Excel and good knowledge of SAS/SQL
Experience with Radar/Emblem/Datarobot and R/Python (desirable)
Experience of machine learning techniques, e.g., GBMs, Elastic Net Regression or Random Forests in Python or R (highly advantageous)
Good working knowledge of the personal lines market
