An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced actuary to join this entrepreneurial business to work across pricing, portfolio management and strategy.

This highly successful and expanding MGA business, is continuing their growth even further into billions of GWP and strengthening their actuarial team is crucial to this sustained development.  This growth has included expansion into countries such as the US, Canada, Australia, several sites in mainland Europe and the UK.

This role will work closely with underwriting teams spanning a range of property, casualty and specialty lines. Focused on commercial SME and mid-market business in a number of geographies, you will assist with first line pricing of risks but also performance and portfolio review, using analytics to influence underwriting strategy.  You will provide advice to senior management to help them further grow their business units and increase profitability.

As lines are broad and include both data driven risks as well as those with limited data, this role is suitable for individuals from personal, commercial or London market pricing backgrounds. An interest in improving business performance and solving problems is key in this position.  Prior experience of reviewing and adjusting pricing models is useful, as is the ability to understand different underwriting markets and results. However, the core part this role is providing insight to a non-actuarial audience in a productive way.  Ideally you will be a qualified actuary or similar level experience if you have stopped the exams.

Due to the geographical diversity of this business, the role can be based fully remotely within the UK or other locations in Europe.  Alternatively for those candidates wanting to be in the office, this organisation can also offer this across any of their locations.

If you want to use your actuarial skills to make a real difference to the future growth of an organisation, then this could be the next step for you.
