Senior Risk Developer – New York – 4 days a week in office - $225,000 - total comp ($150,000 - $170,000 base - excellent bonus) – Excel, VBA, PYTHON, SQL, Financial services

I am recruiting for a leading Asset Management business in New York they oversee assets on behalf of institutional investors from around the world, including pension funds, endowments, insurance companies, government agencies, private banks, and fund of funds.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:

Essential Responsibilities:

• Developing Excel-based tools used by the Risk, Treasury, and Investor Relations teams.
• Support, maintain and improve existing Excel-based reports
• Testing and upgrading spreadsheets following infrastructure changes and tech developments
• Explore potential improvements for new and existing tools using Python

WORK EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND:

• Degree in a technical discipline such as Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics (2:1 or higher).
• 5-10 years of work experience in software development
• Experience in Excel development
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment, providing both tactical and strategic solutions
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working with SQL database
• Python knowledge and experience
• Work Experience in financial services industry

TECHINICAL/BUSINESS SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

• Strong Excel development skills
• Good understanding of VBA
• Good arithmetic skills
• Good knowledge of SQL
• Good understanding of Python
• Excel development experience in financial services industry
