New Job - Product Developer 

Join a specialist insurance provider in London as a Product Developer, this role provides hybrid working.

As a Product Developer, you will report to the Product Development Manager and be responsible for creating and maintaining specialist commercial insurance products, as well as providing support to the Underwriting and Claims teams on product-related inquiries.
You will also assist with the strategic planning and development of the product portfolio, collaborating with teams across the business to monitor product coverage, identify opportunities for innovation, conduct competitor and market analysis, and extract actionable insights from internal data.
This role involves drafting policy wordings, endorsements, application forms, and schedules, as well as managing the communication between the products team and underwriting teams.

As a product manager, your responsibilities include:

• Drafting policies, endorsements, forms, and other documents in the company's style, ensuring they comply with territorial requirements and meet the needs of different business lines (e.g. cyber, tech, media, professional liability, general liability, commercial property, management liability, product recall, medical malpractice).
• Responding to product-related inquiries from underwriters and claims handlers within the prescribed timeframe, and obtaining necessary approvals before issuing documents.
• Leading the development and rollout of new products and product updates, from initial concept to final release, within the prescribed timeframe.
• Maintaining strong communication and relationships with the underwriting and products teams, as well as other stakeholders, regarding the progress and release of new products and updates.

Experience required:

• Law degree preferably.
• Experience in the Insurance industry either in a Wordings or Product Owner or Claims position (would look at someone from either a commercial or personal lines background).
